Industries We Serve

Polymer and resin support across nine demanding markets.

Ineos serves customers whose materials must survive qualification by engineering, purchasing, EHSS, and end-customer quality teams. The same polymer family may be used differently in automotive, packaging, construction, electronics, and industrial manufacturing. For that reason, each application discussion starts with the performance target, the regional regulatory route, and the test method that will prove the claim. Customers can then decide whether a resin grade fits existing production or requires trial-scale evaluation.

Industrial markets served by polymers

Automotive & Transportation

Automotive programs require a stable grade identity, change-notification discipline, and technical information that can be reviewed by OEM and tier suppliers. Ineos supports resin conversations with melt flow, tensile, impact, and thermal data where applicable, and avoids absolute claims unless the test method and conditioning are defined. For under-hood or interior applications, customers can request SDS, TDS, and regional compliance statements before a trial lot is shipped.

Construction & Building

Construction customers often balance fire performance, durability, processing cost, and long service life. Ineos aligns resin selection with building-product requirements, including weatherability, moisture exposure, and handling conditions. Claims about resistance or durability should be evaluated using agreed standards and project-specific exposure assumptions rather than generic promises.

Packaging

Packaging programs depend on consistent conversion, seal performance, barrier properties, and food-contact review where relevant. Ineos helps customers separate industrial packaging needs from food-contact assumptions, then routes questions to the right documentation owner. Migration and compliance statements are destination-specific and should be reviewed before commercial production.

Electronics & Electrical

Electronics applications can require low contamination handling, controlled moisture, and predictable resin behavior during molding or extrusion. Ineos supports early screening with lot traceability, impurity discussion, and appropriate analytical references. Where sub-ppm or sub-ppb expectations apply, the method, sample preparation, and detection limit must be stated.

Industrial Manufacturing

Industrial manufacturers need resilient sourcing and clear substitution logic. Ineos account teams can compare product families, packaging formats, lead times, and documentation packages so purchasing teams can qualify alternatives without creating uncontrolled material changes on the shop floor.

Energy and Infrastructure

Energy applications include cable, pipe, insulation, storage, and emerging low-carbon systems. Material discussions typically involve long asset life, thermal exposure, chemical resistance, and supply continuity. Ineos frames performance around measurable test results and documented operating assumptions.

Healthcare and Controlled Uses

Healthcare-related polymer uses require careful boundaries. Ineos does not describe industrial resins as FDA-approved chemicals. Instead, the team clarifies intended use, supply documentation, and the quality system required by the customer before any statement is issued.

Coatings, Adhesives and Sealants

Formulators evaluate resin compatibility, viscosity contribution, residual solvent profile, and downstream performance. Ineos provides technical discussion that references appropriate methods, including HPLC or GC where relevant, and encourages lab validation under the customer's formulation conditions.

Agriculture

Agricultural supply chains use polymers in films, containers, handling systems, and selected formulation contexts. Ineos supports these customers with packaging guidance, regional compliance review, and durability discussions linked to actual field exposure rather than broad environmental claims.

Secondary markets are reviewed by chemistry, not just by label.

Beyond the nine primary markets, Ineos supports aerospace, battery, personal care, mass transportation, water systems, and specialty manufacturing conversations when the application fits the documented resin family. The first review always identifies product identity, destination jurisdiction, expected annual volume, and whether the customer needs SDS, TDS, food-contact, transport, or responsible-sourcing documentation.
